Wednesday's 3 things: Not Zohran-related, but shoutout to the organizers of NYC!

Item 1. A tiny way to show love to LA's immigrant rights community

This Friday is a National Day of Action to get the charges against Los Angeles immigrant rights activist Alejandro Orellana dropped. Two weeks ago, FBI agents, National Guard troops, and LA County Sheriff’s deputies forcibly entered his home, ransacked his belongings, and took him away in handcuffs. The Committee to Stop FBI Repression writes:

This arrest is part of a broader pattern of political persecution, from the FBI's historical targeting of Chicano activists, Black liberation organizers, and anti-war protesters to the current escalation of attacks against those resisting Trump's deportation agenda. The state is seeking to crush dissent.

You don't have to wait 'til Friday to show support! ➡️ Donate to the CentroCSO legal fund (Venmo @CentroCSO or Zelle +1 (323) 580-3764 under CentroCSO), ➡️ call U.S. Attorney Bilal Essayli at (213) 894-2400 and tell him to drop the charges, and/or ➡️ print out fliers to distribute in your neighborhood.
