Tuesday's two things: Feminist mutual aid, a dad in ICE detention, and more
Item 1. Help a Los Angeles family
A personal friend is leading this fundraising effort ➡️ Bring Jairo home: Support his family during ICE detention.
Jairo had no criminal record and entered the US legally through "CHNV" humanitarian program. After getting married, [he and Melanie] retained an immigration attorney, kept meticulous records, and never missed an appointment. Now, Jairo is detained in Adelanto Detention Center and he and his family are desperate to be united.
...Every day her husband remains in detention, the chances he could be moved out of state, deported to Nicaragua, or worse, to a third-party country, increase.
