Tuesday's two late-night things

Item 1. A balm, a spur
We've talked about Claudia Horwitz's 100 days of meditation. But do you know about 100 Days of Creative Resistance?
Start with Carvell Wallace's letter, All of Life Works If..., and see if it pulls you down the archives. Maybe you need to hear Torrey Peters tell you to "make some fucking art and send it out," or R.O. Kwon acknowledge that "maybe you’re better off taking a break." If you're into it ➡️ subscribe.
Item 2. Care for the humanities
If you have Congresspeople ➡️ send a quick one-click email.
A dear friend and historian wrote this when she forwarded that link along:
"I most likely need not expound upon the crisis that continues to unfold before us—the dismantling of the NEH, the IMLS, etc., and subsequently the smaller state and local arts, culture, and history organizations already propped up by piecemeal funding that they receive. I also know that many of us are engaged in advocacy that is impacting other facets of our or our loved ones lives. Still, I write because humanities advocacy is working. In the very least, if they didn’t know before, state politicians’ eyes are opening to the significant role that the NEH and IMLS play in supporting local organizations. In New York State, this knowledge may eventually be the difference in whether an organization like Humanities New York survives."
