Stack of small, wallet-sized red cards that have instructions printed in Spanish for what to do if you are approached by ICE officials

  • Got the “call my Senators” thing down? ➡️ Last night I added a new number to my phone: my state’s Attorney General! Here’s why and how. I didn’t even get to leave a voice mail because the box was full, so I filled out his website Contact form demanding he investigate Musk.
  • How to resist Trump’s Order imposing classroom censorship and discrimination. (EdSource) Also, bumping this letter template that I mentioned a few days ago, in case you want to tweak it and send to your local principal this weekend: How parents can support educators right now (Garrett Bucks / The White Pages).
  • Re: the spice drive. I was going to buy all of the spices at a local Aldi or Costco. But then Penzey’s did this sassy tariff-inspired promotion. (The giveaway has ended from what I can tell — but did you know they have an “About Republicans” page on their website header?) Anyway, one lucky family at the food bank will get a luxurious bottle of Mexican vanilla, and several will get small packs of spice blends, but they’ll have more to choose from because I’ll stretch the rest of the $ much farther when I go shopping at a brick and mortar in the next couple of days.

Here’s hoping you find some moments of peace this weekend.
